What are website cookies?
Cookies are a natural part of how web browsers work. They are small text files stored by your web browser such as Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Chrome etc. These little text files are stored on your computer, tablet or mobile phone and enable functionality on a website. They are important for providing functionality such as being able to log in or remembering your user preferences on a website. Think of them as little sticky notes which your browser leaves for itself so it can remember important bits of information next time you visit a web page.
How does TrussLoft (R) use cookies?
Like most websites our website creates a simple 'user session' cookie for each user who visits. This cookie does not store any personal information - it simply allows the website to distinguish between one anonymous user and another when serving website pages. This allows the website to provide basic functionality such as a browsing history for a particular user, or to be able count the total number of users currently viewing the site.
