Vat Set to Rise in January 2010
In a bid to get consumers spending again, it was announced last year that VAT prices would drop from 17.5 per cent to 15 per cent. Although this vat reduction was only ever going to be a short term measure to try and salvage something from the economic downturn, the upcoming vat increase is right around the corner.
