More Than a Loft Conversion

 
At Truss Loft, we treat each loft conversion as a unique and individual project from conception through to completion, regardless of size or budget. But as a specialist in large, unusual and prestigious loft conversions and structural alterations, we know that some projects demand a higher level of involvement from the outset. It’s for this reason we created our Premier loft conversion service, which caters specifically to exclusive and more demanding projects.
 
 

What do we do differently?

 
Projects identified as being unusual in nature, particularly large, or technically more complex, will receive a higher level of service from the outset as part of our Premier loft conversion service. We involve our senior structural surveyors right from the very start with these conversions, carrying out a more thorough initial survey than usual to ensure that we can give accurate cost and timing projections as early on in the process as possible.
These more demanding projects are often undertaken as part of a larger restoration or refurbishment project, and we are experienced at liaising with third parties, such as property managers, architects, consultants and commercial agents when working on projects of this nature. We know from experience that these conversions require a very flexible approach from all parties involved, due to the range of variable factors that can affect things such design, timeframes and materials, and we will always strive to adapt to meet the demands of the client.
 
 

Some of our recent Premier loft conversions 

 
  • Numerous large six and seven-plus bedroom properties, involving the creation of large numbers of habitable rooms and bathrooms, and all entailing complex structural, plumbing and electrical configurations.
  • Large rear-facing dormer windows to create four individual en-suite bedrooms to serve as bed and breakfast accommodation, including responsibility for gaining relevant planning permission and change of use authorisations.
  • Large 'L' Shaped bungalow, including the installation of nine dormer windows, including two double pitched dormer windows.
  • Simultaneous loft conversion of three fourth floor apartments, including eight dormer windows and two rear-facing roof terraces.
  • Removal of roof trusses to a commercial property to create gallery roofspace, requiring installation of new steelwork and an upgrading of the existing structure.
  • The builders, architect and structural engineer deemed this project “impossible without removing the roof and starting again”, but we took care of it using our groundbreaking conversion technique.

Exceptional finishes

 
Our Premier loft conversion projects often require the input of multiple services and trades prior to handover to the customer. Whereas we don’t carry out internal work such as bathroom fitting and decoration as part of our service, we do liaise closely with all other parties involved in the finishing of a loft conversion and will always endeavour to accommodate their requirements from us, so as to ensure customer specifications are accurately met.
