The Origins of Truss Loft
Our story started in Ripon, North Yorkshire, in 1995, when we were asked to convert a modern trussed rafter loft that a local architect and a number of builders had said was not possible. We developed a unique and highly practical system for replacing trussed rafters, while still retaining the strength of the roof. By transferring the roof load onto horizontal structural steel beams, we removed the trussed rafters altogether and freed up the space in the loft, transforming the loft area. The method we used on this first conversion became the blueprint for the technique we use today; a technique we’ve developed and refined to become what we firmly believe is the best and most cost-effective trussed rafter loft conversion system available anywhere.
Over the past fifteen years we have expanded from our local area to providing a national trussed rafter loft conversion service. Truss Loft are now firmly established as the national trussed rafter loft conversion specialist, carrying out hundreds of conversions across the country every year. We have satisfied clients from Guildford to Glasgow, Swindon to Stowmarket, and Chester to Cambridge. We have regional teams to carry out all work, with all manufacturing work carried out by our skilled team at our main workshop in Ripon.
Customer Services
We’re incredibly proud of our customer service record. Our reputation for quality and service is a product of years of hard work, and we strive to maintain our impeccable standards through employing highly qualified professionals in every field of expertise, and putting the needs of our clients first.
As experts, we know that every loft conversion is different, which is why our services are tailored to meet your specific needs. We can offer a comprehensive start-to-finish service, or we can help on a purely structural level if you want to take a DIY approach, allowing you to complete your loft conversion project in your own time. One part of our service that never changes is our duty of care to our clients. Each client is provided with project manager who assists you through the whole process, from determining your initial requirements to signing off the completed work to your satisfaction.
Professional, Efficient, Considerate
Any loft conversion will have an impact on the rest of the house, but we do our utmost at all times to minimise the disruption to your home life. We use dust sheets on all floor surfaces affected by the work, and we’ll leave your home clean and vacuumed at the end of each day. Although timescales for each project vary, we will typically complete all work in less than 10 weeks – often much sooner.
We employ only qualified trades people in each specialism and draw on our network of trusted suppliers to source the highest quality materials, such as market leading Velux® window systems. Our long-established relationships with key suppliers means that when you appoint Truss Loft for your loft conversion project, you can be assured that you’re getting a premium quality product at a highly competitive price.
Guarantees
All of our workmanship comes with a five year guarantee. All bathrooms suites, windows, fixtures and fittings carry their own manufacturers’ warranties.
